OUR HISTORY
1962.
Jack Botma moves to Sarnia
Jack emigrated from his native Holland to Canada, and first operated a small trucking firm and a septic system manufacturing company.
1962.
Jack Botma founds Sarnia Concrete Products
They expanded into the manufacture of precast concrete products, including catch basins and manholes needed for a growing community, before introducing ready-mix concrete.
1974.
Sarnia Concrete Products relocates
The original site was sold to a residential developer and moved to Sarnia’s industrial district.
1986.
SCP acquires two new locations
They purchase two concrete businesses, one in Wyoming and one in Forest, Ontario.
1993.
New Concrete Pumping Division added
Sarnia Concrete begins offering concrete pumping services under Sarnia Concrete Pumping.
1996.
New Ready-Mix facility opens in Forest
Wyoming facility relocates to a new ready-mix facility opens in Forest under the EMC Ready-Mix name.
2005.
Sarnia Concrete relocates
Sarnia Concrete moved its Sarnia operations and head office to a site along the St. Clair River.
2009.
Third Ready-Mix facility opens
Sarnia Concrete acquired it’s third location in Wallaceburg under its EMC Ready-Mix name.
